We were tasked with creating CGI photorealistic images of a panther, as well as molecules that sat inside the panther’s eye. The panther had to match existing marketing imagery and needed to be scaled for pharmaceutical conventions, press and stock imagery.

We already had a strong portfolio of hyper-realistic, high-resolution CGI animals, but to answer this brief our artists studied the physiology of fur to ensure the panther was as authentic as possible. We used cutting-edge technology to create five different hair lengths for the body fur, as well as ‘special’ fur for the panther’s ears, belly, and tail. Our artists rendered 4,160,000 individual hairs that they were then able to edit and fine-tune, before fully incorporating the animal into content that was consistent with the client’s existing imagery.
